Well, that's why I was wondering: could be that "new" is genuinely that and we might be getting some Bulleid or Maunsell coaches...

Ah, good point, never thought about anything other than Mk1's, forgot that there were any other coaches after leaving MSTS through lack of alternatives
Cheers, Robert :)

Looks stunning, and a good choice given we have a proper route for her. Just reading Peter Smith's book about firing and driving on the S&D, including a fascinating story of one slipping badly in a tunnel.

Any vids or audio so we can hear the sounds? (without opening up the usual debate!)

Here is a video of Tangmere in steam which is one of the featured named Light Pacifics:

http://www.youtube.com/v/C5VWkxz3F28&hl=en_GB&fs=1 - Quality isn't super, but you can hear what she sounds like.

Weather or not they have captured the sound for her, friday will only tell, do apologise in advance if you were asking for a vid from DT :)

Asolutely awesome video there of the double header! They don't often drown out a 'barker' like a britannia but when bulleids are really 'opened up' they'll compete for noise with anything! My experience with Tangmere was equally amazing too!

Thanks for sharing that! :D :D

Not sure where you got that idea from. They did pretty well on the Withered Arm in North Devon and Cornwall, where the hills were pretty steep, on the mainline to Exeter from Waterloo - and on the Somerset and Dorset.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Excuse me for maybe asking a silly question, but, on the RS.com twitter page this dinnertime it stated -

http://twitter.com/railsimulator/status/18981390788

Is this the one created by Digital Traction, or, another one please ??

Its the one created by DT, if you look at the competition information and also the release info, its all stated its Digital Traction, but they probably have contracts to create the locomotives for RS.com so therefore there going to say "our locomotive"

Thanks crumplezone, what competition?

I've only just sat down after washing the tea dishes, it's been a bit hectic today, I haven't caught up with all the gossip of the day yet, I've obviously got a lot of reading to do before cocoa time.....

After buying it, gave it a run on the Paddington scenario, she looks, she sounds, she is, just beautiful, at Peter Watermann would say "Just like the real thing", you really have to get this if your wanting another great addition the the steam stock aswell as expression steam locomotives, also here are some screenshots of Tangmere:
