Wonderful engine.Just a shame you need to keep re loading scenarios to get the sound back. No news lately on any fixes?

It's not automatic - Bulleids and many other locos (including V2s etc) have combined Brake/Large Ejector handles (in real life) so in-game the 'release' position takes the place of Large Ejector, which we have tried to replicate with the sounds. Note the Small Ejector is there too!

I do not know if this will help in your situation but I have noticed that if the sound is "playing up" if I change view to say 3 for instance ( for a short amount of time ) and then go back to the loco the sound may resolve it self.

Give it a try and if it works it beats having to continue from a save frequently.

Hi, possibly not related but have you seen the recommended settings for nvidia thread? clamping the video card to 0 frame prefetch seems to cure some lags and keeps things in synch

Will have a look. Also amended the chuff xml file values as suggested earlier in the thread and will be giving that a try.

My system should be up to the job - Quad core 4GB ram, X-fi audio card - 968mb graphics.

I don't know if was coincidence but having adjusted those values in the chuff effects file I just did a run with no sound droput at all.

What a wonderfully relaxing beat these angines have. I could not hear it in the Pines scenario for all the racket from the Black 5. Been running the 2 part Paddington to Didcot Railtour with the Tangmere.

Oh Wow! I didnt know that, there we are see, you learn something new everyday! thanks for the info mate, I guess it comes from only driving GWR locos and industrials that you get used to the ejectors :P

Once again, a very nice model, in fact I have been more happy with this model than a lot of the other models I have bought for railworks! there's something about the machine that makes it a pleasure to drive! EVEN for a GWR man :P

It still wont beat the pannier 6435 in second valve when I was playing with it tho :P got told off but it was fun :P (Real not in simulation) lol
My Mind is like a Welsh Railway, One tracked and Dirty.... :P
