Was taught how to drive these beauties (well 257 Squadron) at Swanage in the last century by Stan Symes, a retired Bournmouth Shed driver. Oh how wonderful to be one of the older people ( some call us Geriatrics ) memories for me - apart from the preserved lines and odd main line bashes, were working out of Brighton on the Plymouth / Cardiff departing P2 on a tight curve - hopefully the DT model will allow realistically the ease of which these machines lost adhesion - or slipped like hell !!!

They also had steam reversers (as did the M7s) which were a bit tricky to find the right cutoff until you got the hang of them.
Lets hope DT manages to capture all these traits.
