Re: IHH?
In case you hadn't noticed on the RS.com website, the 9F is due to be released on Steam tomorrow, so Sly's work is still available through that channel
Plenty of the DLC available for RW has been created by outside developers and Sly's assets come under IHH in the editor - a little clue that his work is seperate from RS.com.

Re: IHH?
Hi Guys
Just to verify the position.
I have always been independant although working closely with RS.Com .
The decision to open my own site and sales portal has been taken for a number of reasons.
Yes commercial pressures did play a part but there other benefits to both myself and the customer.
Because to coin a phrase. I am vertically integrated
(another word for doing everything myself ) the testing procedure is quicker in terms of responce and reaction.. this should result in quicker and more regular releases.
Sales from the IHH site get my direct personal support, and should any revisions be needed they can be implemented immediatley.
RS com will benefit in terms of any submissions for inclusion on STEAM..... will be well road tested and ready to go.
Any release that does migrate to STEAM will be on the proviso it has the same installation path... ensuring uniformity, with the benefit of automatic updates for users.
Why purchase from the independant site and not wait for STEAM ?
Firstly prices are likely to rise unless net returns improve.
Packages purchased from IHH will have updated bonus content included in the same installation.
In future there is likely to be a longer period between the IHH and STEAM launches. (The 9F is a long standing agreement)
Usually something extra will be included in purchases made from the IHH site.
Above mentioned personal support to direct purchasers...

Re: IHH?
Does this mean we'll see a bunch of fixes released tonight, since IIRC there was a decision of "no more DLC until all fixes have been done"?malkymackay wrote:In case you hadn't noticed on the RS.com website, the 9F is due to be released on Steam tomorrow

Better vertically integrated than vertically disintegrated. That is what I feel sometime, head in one place, body in another one.Sly401 wrote: I am vertically integrated![]()
Anyway, you forgot to mention one reason to buy at your site: Steamfree delivery. Should be good for Steam haters.
Re: IHH?
Could be although if you look on Twitter they are also mentioning 'own' add-ons ready for release. And no updates arrived neither yesterday evening or this morning...msey0002 wrote:Possibly they might have been referring to RSC DLC?

The thing with Payware assets from 3rd party sites is that you have it long before Steam and RailSim release them, so, you have more playing time with them, something else that I'm all for and if there are any problems, they can be fixed virtually straight away, so, well done young Paul, good luck with your endeavours, I'm positive that your content will enhance many a layout in the future, they're a screenshooters delight......
