Have bought the 9F last night and today have a quick run..
the model is really nice, personally like the BR black one than the other two liveries..

however, the bonus "Standard 5MT" looks a bit....er..ugly..when compare with the 9F and the original Black 5
and feel very strange for its' colour...

and when I tried to take a ride on it, the railworks crash. hoho..so I dont know what would the cab look like and would there any driver in cab.

anyway, thanks Sly~~

Nope. I have downloaded the Std 5MT again, re-installed and placed on the track of the Bath route, but the 5MT crashes the sim everytime I click on it.

I have even hooked her up to a regular Black 5, tried to change cabs, but the sim crashes then too.

What have you done to make the Std 5MT work, antonyperks?

Are there any other drivers here that have no problem with the Standard 5MT?

Thanks

Hi Guys

5MT problems

I have got to the bottom of the problem... the 5MT calls a couple of things from the Iron Duke ... If you have Iron Duke you have no problems .

I will be changing the link in the confirmation email and e-mailing all purchasers with a revised link..

apologies for inconvenience, and update should be up 17:00 today (saturday)

Sly

Oh thats great news Paul, thanks for spending time on finding a fix, I and others really appreciate it.

What do we do now? Uninstall the 5MT then wait till after 5pm and download and install the new version?

Thanks again!

Hi
I have just bought and downloaded the excellent 9F pack,i have been excited about this when it was first announced. When you say that
the 5MT needs the iron duke to work do you mean the Brit loco,if thats the case then i think i do have it.As you did say sly in your
Email it was one of your first releases.By the way what a great site you now have, with probably the best looking stock for
Railworks, wow that Brit and the WD.Meanwhile i think i will go and drive 92220,my favorite engine,i may be away for sometime

To Sly don't let the others get you down, keep those locos running Welcome Back

Got the email, thanks for alleviating this minor issue for a freebie item. Love the 9F and the sound set is refreshingly different.

Hi Paul

Thank you for looking into the Std 5MT issue. I downloaded and re-installed the 5MT from the rev 2 file, but...nothing changed, my 5MT continues to crash RW.

Now I do not know the technicalities of RW but when I look in the Package Manager and click on Standard_5MT_Rev_2, in the right window it shows under Assets > Sly > Midland > Particles > Textures some items that I don't think I have; in particular the 'Brittania' Safety Valves and Smoke files.

I have no idea if this has anything to do with it but I thought I let you know.

Thanks
Jos

Jos, if you un-install the 5MT, download and install the "Iron Duke" Britannia locomotive then re-install the 5MT it should be all fine.

You'll find the Britannia on this UKTrainSim website and the file ID is 19901.

Hope this helps.
