Hi Sly,

Yes, by driving with optimum speed it worked. A very nice run indeed! I'm going to enjoy this locomotive very much. :D

Anyone know how to change the "happy" fireman (always waving from the cab like a simpleton) for one that actually does some firing?

I've been wondering that too. You'd think he might have more pressing things to attend to when climbing over the Mendips! :o

Oh, I dunno how to do that, but he's right annoying, especially when you want to look backwards ! Actually, it's amazing how the train gets so far, without the fire being attended to !

Would anyone know where to find some in game pictures of the 5MT?

Hi Sly,

The 9F Evening Star is a great step forward. A beautiful job!

I think that the Summer Saturday Scenario also breaks new ground for scenarios. Wonderful!

Thanks very much.

Hi Dan

The picture on the IHH web site is an in game shot not a render... I now use a custom white backdrop to take images from in the game..

However , the 5Mt is a very basic model done a long time ago.. it is really there to be used as a fill in .. although it does drive.

A detailed version is due out early next year.. please take the present offering for what it is :D

SLy

PS thanks for the comments guys.. much appreciated :D

So wait, you're offering an incomplete model for free, but you're going to charge for the completed one whether or not they have the old version?

Hi

Can't see there's any problem with that. (Apologies if you were being ironic)

The 8F is a very similar case in point. The freeware was and is a thoroughly acceptable loco, but the payware version is vastly superior and well worth paying for.

I'm sure the same will be true for this loco, except that it'll doubtless be better than you thought possible. Except for the sounds. They're rubbish...  :D

Cheers

If people have already got the "incomplete" model 5MT then they might not wish to buy the "finished" version. It's all down to consumer choice, nobody's going to "force" anybody to buy a loco they don't want :-?

Unbeleivable

What should I do Lee ... tell me? give them the next model I make for free. ?

I have taken a copy of your post, just so as I can demonstrate the kind of people I have to put up with

let me spell it out for you.

I have an old model that I decided to give my customers.. they can use it if they want or not..
when I finish making the brand new one up to the same standards as the 9F then it will be for sale if anyone wants to buy it.

was that really difficult ?

Or are you just looking for an argument again..?

Sly

In fact Your post has been reported for Trolling..

I asked a question, it's not illegal. If you think I'm trying to start an argument then you're just jumping to conclusions.

You offered the model for FREE, but nowhere on the website does it state this is an incomplete model. The fact of the matter is I find this misleading.
If you offer a model for free it is expected that is a bonus which does not need paying for to get a completed model later.

Your attitude to anyone who dislikes the way you present your add-ons doesn't do you any more favours.
Don't expect me to be buying any of your add-ons if you are going to treat people like they are stupid.

You have misunderstood - it's a complete loco but built some time ago, so it's not up to the standards of Sly's current models.
