What route era would you like to see?
Hi all,
Whislt mulling over ideas for a new route project I thought it would be best to ask the community what type of route they would like to see for Railworks.
The route will have a customised loading screen using custom scenary items downloadable off UKTS as well as both Default and Payware and maybe some custom assets produced exclusivly.
You can select all the options if you want to.

Re: What route era would you like to see?
So how are those that have more than one favourite era gonna vote?

Thanks for that. Edited post to allow all eras to be chosenUSRailFan wrote:So how are those that have more than one favourite era gonna vote?
Re: What route era would you like to see?
Thank you. I voted NSE/Sector but with the possibility of voting for multiple eras I've now added Modern Day and pre-Beeching as well.
Re: What route era would you like to see?
I've gone for modern day and pre beeching. Would like to see the same route but done in these two era's so you could see the difference that time has made.

Thanks for your votes guys.
The most popular era's are pre-beeching and Modern Day ATM & STC . I am going to wait until Monday to decide on the era.

Yes, that was my reasoning too - seeing the same route modelled as it was e.g. in 1960, 1990 and 2010, to see how it has developed over that period.gavo01 wrote:I've gone for modern day and pre beeching. I prefer routes set bewteen 1970 and the modern day, NSE/sector liveries being the best period, however I feel more at home with modern day scenarios as they can be linked to current timetables and operations that I have seen myself, which generally makes them more realistic.

Re: What route era would you like to see?
There is no separate listing for the Big 4, which is my favourite era. All this pesky BR stuff.
Re: What route era would you like to see?
Network South East definately, mainly because that was the era that I grew up in (although I think the first train I went on was BR Blue Grey just before NSE)! (or more modern based) another reason is that it would be more easier to make activities with the timetables for this era
Something goes here??

NSE/Sector and BR Green/Blue,whatever that means? I assume you mean you want to make a SR route???
In terms of years for me its 1950-2000,anything after that really bores me (yes,i am very bored of our current railway scene!)

Re: What route era would you like to see?
I've plumped for anything between the changeover from steam to diesel upto sectorisation.
I did many miles up and down the Far North Line from the mid 70's onwards, before moving to Aberdeen. My school was 5 minutes walk from the station there and most days my mates and I would wander down to see what was on the move. Most days it was the usual fare of HSTs, push-pulls and 47's. Occasionally you'ld get a 26 or 27 on the Inverness service and a nice driver who would let you into the cab for a chat
. I lost interest in the current scene when privatisiation happened - Scotrail Sprinters everywhere

Expanding the TS wagon fleet.

Re: What route era would you like to see?
Hi guys,
Just to confirm, I have settled on the Modern era. This descison was mainly influenced by the votes and the amount of stock avalible for that specific era.
But don't worry, because after I have finished the modern version I will clone the route using RW_Tools and modify it to different eras (Pre-beeching + BR Green\BR Blue + NSE\Sector to show how the route was in that specific era.
I will be posting updates in both the Screenshots & Route Building threads so keep an eye out for a thread relating to a route with my username.
