Those are old signs and are remnants from the early versions which are not needed. I am pretty sure I didn't use the glass shelter in the route, however, it is available at my site should you want it. http://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/

The route should run fine without these objects.
Thanks Darren - I'll give it a go.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Briefing

Good afternoon driver. The service you are booked to drive, 1N45, an Intercity HST set is running around 5 minutes late and is now due at Lanyeard at 15:20. Enjoy the traffic before your service arrives where you must climb on board immediately ready for departure in order to make time up between here and Ennisford. Your only intermediate calling point is Shencliffe.

This is a scripted free roam scenario, designed to function like a normal scenario. You are intended to only click the service specified in the description - 1N45, arriving in Lanyeard at around 15:20 - clicking any other consist during the course of the scenario will result in it not working as intended.

I must give you a round of applause for this route Darren, superbly detailed and with the extra stations and yards, it gives us more scope for our various train operations. Thank you for the extra content ( grandstands ), etc, it's a must have layout, it really shows what this simulator is capable of. Very well done young man, now, go and have a rest....... :D

Cheerz. Steve.

Where are the lasers and unicorns? It's an ok route, but it needs lasers and unicorns.

Anyway, picked this up yesterday and the Bet On The Traction scenario and liking it a lot. It's made the keeper list. Good Jourb!

P.S. Lasers and unicorns. Extra added bonus if the trains make *pew* *pew* *pew* sounds when the lasers fire.

Do you know what, I just knew this would happen. One of the beta testers warned me that there would be trouble if the lasers were left out but did I listen, no, as usual. He said the unicorns wouldn't cause a problem though but I can include them in V11 if you really want them. :D

Pardon my ignorance of the route. Is this based off a real life one?

Well, lets say yes and no.

V1 & 2 were completely fictional, although they did represent ideas in my head from real areas, all of it was done freehand, so to speak so never had the representation of what I wanted, and it showed in the V2 release.

For V3, we now had the excellent RW Decal tool so I decided to mix and match, have a fictional route but use real decals from which I think it has given the new areas a realistic flavour, especially in rural parts which are hard to reproduce fictionally.

I have found it a great way to model, it means you can pick areas of any network that you like and seamlessly blend them together into something different. On the newer parts of Cresston V3 we have small areas from NE England, the Midlands and South Yorkshire patched together to make a fictional route which works well in my opinion. I won't say its a perfect way to model but it works for me and if anyone wants to create a ficitonal route I would recommend it, it gives you a chance to blend all of your favourite routes into one with the added bonus of having a creative license where you want to place your own touches.

Gotcha, just curious. Neat little route. I dig it, and it's electrified!

Oh btw. That scenario you have up above.

"due at Lanyeard at 15:20"

It actually arrives at 13:20 :)

I blame the stress. :D

Just a heads up to say that the two scenarios are now approved here on UKTS. In "Hard to Swallow" your service is due at 20 past. :D

Sweet. Hard To Swallow worked my nerves. You need to make up time, but as you push your train right at the edge of the speed limit you eventually catch up to a slower service and end up playing follow the yellow lights at 50 mph. :)

Will check out the other one tonight. Glad to see scenarios are being made for this route.

Over next couple of days I am going to try to compile a first public scenario on creston V3. And since seeing the recent reskin of that Virgin 57 I think maybe a LE movement to a 390 to take her over a non electrified section of track And maybe return trip, in one scenario?

Also, I think a steam charter is a must :P
But I would like to ask if People would prefer a straight away pulling off with the train or perhaps first the player must move ECS or LE to meet the stock or have to travel and turn the engine 1st then reverse onto the train. while the passengers visit the town that the train stopped at and drive back for the end of the day.

My first one for Darren's route, 'Bet on the Traction' is now out, and is doing alright :D

I have one waiting for upload here, which is the reason for the Class 37's on the tour screenshots!

Its called 'Cresston Track Bash - Part 1' and there will be more than 4 parts at the least.

If anyone wishes, I may hold this scenario and release it as Part 1 to whatever it goes up to?

Cheers, Rich

Hi all.

I would just like to thank everyone for the support regarding Cresston V3, it seems to have been well received and having passed 1000 downloads here on UKTS in 4 days, I am grateful to see people may actually want it!

No decisions are made on whether there will be a V4 as yet but you never know, I may surprise you. On that note, are there any specific locations that people would like to see in any future release.

Once again thanks.
