I would like to see the North Norfolk Railway modelled for RS or RW. The NNR is my favourite heritage railway by far

Re: Which routes would you like to see produced?
Well as a matter of fact, despite there being no NNR resident steam locos to speak of available in RW, GWR 57xx 7715 is on loan there at present, I've got it on my latest WIP, must get the physics update as she's a nightmare to run
, however afterwards perhaps I'll try the NNR then if no-one else has it planned.
I'd need a gradient profile though.

I still don't see Weymouth to London Waterloo...
Or even just Weymouth to Southampton... Hmm, should I extend Lymington then?...
Out of the one's listed, the GWR Mainline looks promising...

Re: Which routes would you like to see produced?
Personally for a UK setting there are three routes that'd catch my interest: Woodhead Line set just after electrification (ie mid-late 50s), London - Brighton Main Line anytime from the NSE era onwards, and the Channel Tunnel route either with or without the CTRL.
Re: Which routes would you like to see produced?
I would like the Portsmouth Direct line to be extended to Southampton Central (and eventually to Weymouth to include the Eastleigh Portsmouth Harbour Link and the Fareham to St Denys branch thus making a very interesting route for multi operational scenarios

Re: Which routes would you like to see produced?
I did some walking up there the other weekend and saw some of the delights, and it truly is quite a route. It would also have some modern day potential given the line as far as Buxton, Greak Rocks and Tunstead is still worked at this side, and the Matlock section / Peak Rail is also there. There is plenty of info available and it is accessible, so I think it is something I might have a go at once CKPR is done*briyeo1950 wrote:Derby to Manchester through the Peak District set in the 1940's to 1960's

Re: Which routes would you like to see produced?
Whilst I would like to see any of the nominated routes done, I am a little disappointed not to see London to Dover, via Hither Green...................can you just imagine the scenario opprotunities....................mind you need to wait for the 33 first, then who knows a 73 might come along!!!

I agree... I'm bored of all this "drive for 10 miles, stop, drive for 12 miles, stop, drive for ... that you tend to get with modern routes. Much more interesting in the past when goods and local passenger services were part of the normal running.Trainzer1400 wrote:I voted GWR Mainline, as what exists is not the mainline.
Also would not mind seeing any of these routes listed, but not in a modern setting.
Total waste of time, with most of the infrastructure ripped up and gone.
cheers,
Dave.

I agree too. Tho I've only been on it once, when thinking of routes I'd like, the ones that reach the top of the list are:dipper6 wrote:I totally agree 250%, Ft. There is no other route like it in the country. So much more interesting, scenic and ...

.
- around Sutton, London, including Epsom, Ewell, Morden etc, (50s or poss early 70s) -- personal history
- Welsh lines around Corwen (incl Llangothlen and North Wales Main line), 50s -- beautiful
- Highland Line from Glasgow - Mallaig - pref in early 50s to keep some goods traffic.

There's actually still a fair amount of goods traffic on the line
