I'm not familiar with this RS route. Done a quick search in the library and can't find it. Any more details?

Downloaded it this morning, and all I get is "Something bad has happened" every time I load a scenario. I've checked the route in RW Tools, verified the cache and deleted the blueprints, and nothing I do seems to work.

Have you checked the stock in the scenarios with RW Tools - I think they are looking for the Brake Vans in the old RS locations. Once I swapped them for the DT Brake Vans in the correct folders they work.

Kevin is not alone?!!
I have spent all morning trying to get the route to load without success.
Using RW_Tools I have checked the route assets (several times) and all are there. I have edited each scenario to ensure the folder paths to the required stock assets match mine (they do now!!) yet every time I try to run the route, using either a supplied scenario or the 'free roam' facility I get a message box come up in RW like this:
http://www.oakwood-shed.co.uk/files/image1.jpg
I have even stripped down a scenario to just one asset to prove (to myself) that the problem isn't with me as I use that asset in many other scenarios on other routes.
Any ideas?

Swapped all the missing items for the DT ones and even reverted all stock to default, and I'm still getting the same message. I've just about given up with RailWorks now, think I'll go back to MSTS.

Sorry, that probably was a bit harsh but I'm sure my frustration can be understood, and I appreciate that hard work and the amount of hours people put in to create routes and scenarios.

Joe, what a cracking route; a great job at encapsulating this part of the world and the way BR used to be; lots of 16t opens and uneven lines.
Have just enjoyed working the provided "Trip Working" scenario.

D6692 eases into Woodhorn colliery with a string of empties...
...before running round to pick up a train of loaded wagons bound for Cambois PS. Our bold photographer climbs a lamp standard for this shot

)
To anyone struggling to get this route up and running, yes, I had to swap the DT brakevans in all consists as someone else mentioned, but I also required a couple of additional assets that I did not already have, as per Joe's ReadMe file.
I've had issues with these brake vans before; I copied my original RS versions over to RW, originally. Some time ago last year, I downloaded a route (I forget which) which referenced the same vans in a different location. After having tried to swap them using RW_Tools, only to find the game crashed on loading, I tried physically moving them to the folder that the scenario expected to find them in. When this (surprisingly) didn't work (and breaking a bunch of other scenarios to boot

), I deleted the vans completely, re-downloaded them from DT and reinstalled them. The scenario still griped that it couldn't find them, so I edited once more with RW_Tools to point to the installation location (\railworks\Assets\DT\Addon\RailVehicles\Freight) and surprise, surprise, it worked.
Don't know if this helps you guys at all...
Rgds, Rik.

Rik, I have also done all that with the vans other than replace them completely. Will give that a go in a mo and get back to the thread with my findings!?
LATER: .....
OK, using the 'Trip' scenario I swapped out all of the Brake vans and replced them with one from the Kuji stable (LMS 20t) without any changes to what I reported before?
Just in case I also changed the 'Bates Colliery' scenario vans for another model compltely (and also swapped out the 37s & 47s for 60s) - again the same message box.
It is disappointing that I am having this hasle and others are not - now if someone can tell me what that message box means as RW seems to truncate it badly so youcan't see the complete path of the so called 'Line 113' error (although I guess this is either in the .bin file or the .xml of the scenario) but then again it could be elswhere??
BTW, please note, there is no implied critism of the provider of this route to whom we are all completely greatful as tis is not the first time some have been able to run a route and others haven't for various reasons (Radley-Reading v2 being another at the moment)!
(As a matter of interest, I am running under Windows 7 Ultimate)
HELP?!!

Hello all
sorry to hear people are having probs
Looks like a problem with the DT vans ! ,did they change the actual folder structure in DT folder when Railworks came out .i did the same as most when Railworks came out ,just transfered all old stock etc.
Kevin what i would recommend doing is open a scenario in edit mode and create new scenario with one loco just to make sure the problem lies in the scenarios ive created.
please post back what happens !
Just a note on this route , it was started back when RS came out but was never released.
its just been on a disc since then and i decided to do something with it.
V2 will take the route down to Percy main and the Tyne (about another 8 miles)and also will build the short section from woodhorn
around to Lynemouth.
i may build a asset or 2 for the route in time.would like the signal box at freemans crossing.
i decided to release this part to use a bit like Hedbough north
hope all is ok
joe whittaker
ps if the vans are still a problem i may delete my vans reinstall and change them on route and reupload again if everyone is having probs ,
feedback will be good
