Hi All
here is an update so far.
Jeff' has been constructing his buildings + station items, & Mark' is starting the major alterations to Newport, & the track layout on the Newport to Cowes Line this week, with the new track & track rule,
if all goes well, we should be looking at 4 to 6 weeks before the next version is ready, but don't hold me to this, it only a guestimate.
Regards
Ian

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the update on what is happening, I was getting a bit worried, it has been quiet for some time.

Take your time and get things how you want them to be and I look forward to future updates.

Hi All
Iv'e sent Norman, AKA Clockmaker, a copy of my work done up to date for testing to see if Iv'e caused any strange faults in the route, I'm Good at that He-He,
if I was as good at building as I'm at messing up, the dam thing would be built by now.

Hi All
The route is going to be quite awhile before we have put it back together again, So as a stopgap, we have, well, I have decided to release the route that's up to the point of destruction.
it may be a week off before it's posted on UKTS, as I can work up-to to 15 hrs. a day, so I get a little knackered when I get home.
The Free-roam is a little different than the usual type, you have to Waite for your train to arrive before you can take over, there's a bit of shunting going on at the Ryde Carriage works
to keep you occupied,
iv'e placed trains at some of the stations to make it easier to explore the system. And the signals at Newport iv'e put in, so beware anything can happen.
The save problem has been exorcized, so that should not raise it's ugly head again, but you know as well as I do, nothings guaranteed in Railworks.
Regards
Ian

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the info on what is happening and I for one will be keeping one eye on the UKTS Front Page watching out for the 'download' to appear.

I know you and the Team have been working hard on this project and very pleased to hear that
The save problem has been exorcized
Brilliant.
The Free-roam is a little different than the usual type, you have to Wait for your train to arrive before you can take over,
I personally like these types of Scenarios, I first encountered them on Mark Howarth's excellent "R I Lines" Route and look forward to trying the "IOW Network 3.0" ones.

Hi All
Iv'e uploaded the route to UKTS, it's now in the holding area, all assets apart from stock, are in a big RWP file.
Remember to delete the current version before instilling this one.

Hi all,

Once the route has been uploaded, you will find 3 free roam scenarios and 3 scenarios by myself, which are Cowes to Ventnor, about 65mins long and Ventnor to Ryde Pier Head, 40mins long and Ventnor West to Merstone Junction.

I hope you will enjoy them and if you have any comments about them or concerns(!) then I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have!!

Getting impatient - after all it was the original release of this that made up my mind to go to RW.

It's now 21.00 hrs on Wednesday night
i have just come back from doing a 3 day London tour, with a 15 metre coach that's to dam big to go around London with.
so i did not know that the route is missing from the front page of UKTS
now, I'm sorry you are getting impatient, and it is, after all a hobby, and i have to earn a living
I uploaded the route to UKTS, but for some unknown reason its not shown up on the front page. now that i'm home i can find out.

Hello Ian

Thank you for looking into the matter. It seems to me that there is a bit of slowness in files appearing on UKTS after being uploaded at the moment in general

Your work is greatly appreciated and I'm sure the route will be well worth the wait

Kind regards

Really looking forward to the route, as said it was after your first uploading ( about a year ago ) that made me reload RW and almost give up on MSTS - now have given up with MSTS
So keep up the good work both Route building and hauling coaches around London

Hi Ken
it was a really bad trip, and there is no excuse for growling at you, Sorry,
I had a Muppet as a co-pilot Who could not find his way out of a paper-bag, and the coach was only 2 weeks old, i was waiting for the hammer of Thor's to fall, Hence the STRESS :drinking:
Now back to our hobby, it seams that the route did not upload fully, so i will set it up again tonight.
Regards
Ian

if your interested here is the link to the coach i was driving
