Great news Justin & Ian, can we also assume that the F2 'Save' problem has been eliminated?

Really looking forward to downloading this latest version, when you feel you are ready to release it.

Thanks for that Ian, I love what you Guys have done in producing this magnificent Route, I have had it installed since your first RS release, but do get annoyed when I forget you cann't reload after a 'Save'.

Looks like I'm in for some really long seasons now that this is no longer an issue.

Over the last two weeks I have probably Saved using F2 over 100 times while testing throughout the route and on my computer I have had no failures using the latest route from Ian and Scenarios by Justin. Please do not use earlier scenarios as some are faulty. I would suggest that when Ian releases the updated route you make sure that the earlier version of the route together with all scenarios have been completely deleted before using the package manager to re-install.

Hi Rob
I have started to flesh out Cowes to just after Media cement mills, plus remodelling the river, iv'e stopped there until Mark & Jeff have finished Newport,
the maps of the 1950s are short on detail but it tells me roughly where the Farms,Roads, Villages and the Woods. Mark or Jeff will tell me if i stray to far from reality.

Hi Ian. I look forward to seeing the cowes line. I cycle to work along the old line. It'll be great to get home and then drive a steam loco along the same route 50/60 years ago! There's a derelict bridge that i guess used to cross line. It's about 3 miles from newport. I'll try and sort a picture for you. Regards Matt(92212)

Hi All
Now that we have a viable route there's no stopping us now, Matt, is this bridge near the old cement works, and is it a over bridge, if so then it may be the one that crosses the line at about 45 degrees to the tack, just before the viaduct.
Rob, I never refuse help or advice , someone will have the answer to a bad problem, like our's, and if you dismiss their help out of hand, then you may never find the cure, like the problem we had with the route, witch came very close to scraping, because we thought it was beyond repair. until Norman AKA clockmaker figured it out.

To all the Simmer's or is that sinners, that helped & supported us throughout the bad times, I wish to thank you for your belief in the route,

Best Regards
Ian

Can I also add my thanks to you guys for creating a marvellous version of the IOW network. I think the fact that the lines are on an island adds to illusion that you are creating your own "world" rather than just an individual route. Well done and I look forward to being able to download the latest version.

Hi All
here is a list of things to come, Mark has made a new track & track-rule for the new viaducts he's making, Jeff is making new buildings for the route, Justin is making his real life scenario's from old timetables, & I'm just plodding along with scenery work.

Next version will include:

Relay Smallbrook-Newport-Cowes with new track rule track.
Major track layout change at Newport.
Minor changes to track layouts at other stations on Smallbrook-Newport-Cowes route.
Full signalling of Smallbrook-Newport-Cowes route.

Future Version's
(in no particular order):
Relay Freshwater route with new track rule track, minor track layout changes and full signalling.
Relay Newport - Ventnor West route with new track rule track, minor track layout changes and full signalling.
Relay Merstone - Sandown route with new track rule track, minor track layout changes and full signalling.
Relay Bembridge Branch with new track rule track, minor track layout changes and turntable at Bembridge.
Relay Ryde - Ventnor route with new track rule track. This will include re-building Ryde Esplanade station.

Please wait until the route is finished before posting any scenario's, as they wont work with the track alterations being made to most of the system.
Justin s Scenarios will be included in the route, to bring the railway to life.
Best Regards
Ian & the Team
