Path for the Newport terrier is wrong.
The path is DT\Addon\RailVehicles\Steam\Terrier\Engine\Newport BR Malachite
It's looking for
DT\Addon\RailVehicles\Steam\Terrier\Engine\Newport
I just made a copy and renamed it now everything works.
You also need the DT m2e coach pack which isn't listed.
Edit: Something bad happened every time I try to drive certain engines.
That is because there is another newport i uploaded before i uploaded the other terriers

Hi,
I get the lock up when I try to F2 save, no message just a complete lock up.
The missing items I downloaded this afternoon from the RS section on here.
The opening scene at Ryde St. Johns Rd when the scenario starts is an absolute delight.
It does bring back some ancient memories. Thank you
Regards
Colin

i'm ok at building the route, but when it goes wrong, i have to ask other poeple for help, to me thats the darkside of the route.
Regards
Ian
Hi again Ian,
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated, as is your IOW Route.
To install in RW, I unzipped the downloads, and installed the three .rpk files using the RW Package Manager. Then 'swopped' the DT mk2e coaches using RWTools and started the Route in Railworks and selected the "Free Roam" Scenario.
I can drive the Loco's on the Route with no problems and 'swop' from one Loco to another also with no problems, but as soon as I press F2 to save (in any location) the Sim Locks and I get the "Something Bad has occured" error message . When the error message is cancelled the Sim closes to Desktop. Hope that is of some help to you.
It would be interesting to see if anyone else that has installed the Route into RW is experiencing this problem, if so perhaps they could comment on what they are experiencing.
Edit: Colin, the Error message is displaying behind the 'Sim' screen (if you see what I mean) and to see it you have to press the Windows key (next to Alt key).

Hi again....
.
Have learnt how to ( basically) use RW Tools -- Route now working --- see previous post re Mk2e stock --- .
.
Just driven a Terrier from St Johns Road Shed towards Ventnor ( Ooops derailed at Brading !!!! ) but have after Thursday a few days off ( got to do MIL visiting) but am going to give this route a good bashing -- At first thoughts thought that Port Road 1/2/3/ was fantastic but being a Southern Boy the IOW is the BEST ( used to live in Hove).
.
Now what we do need is a working 02 (with IOW extented tender !!)
.
Do get the problem with F2 save.
.
Oh and am using this route in RAILWORKS not RAILSIM.....
.
Cheers for now
Ken

Evening all!
First of all many thanks for the kind support messages we are reciving for the route!!
On behalf of a member who commented about a working O2 loco, aka W24 'Calbourne', I am sure Jeff Layfield, will hopefully produce one, he done a brillant job of the O2 tank engines on Microsoft Train Simulator.
Thanks also to a member on this forum for pointing out about the F2 Save option, again manily for RW, that crashes back to desktop, I found this a nightmare, because I was trying to create scenarios for the route, package them up for Ian and Mark to run and test, only to find the dreaded 'bell' sound, and error 113 message.
Hopefully, I will find time tomorrow evening and crack on with some 'test' scenarios, and with luck, should be tested and expanded on.
Kind Regards,
Justin Ford.

The route installed OK and I sorted out the rolling stock in RW Tools. I've had a good fly around the whole island with no problems - it does look very good. However, I'm getting the F2 'Something bad' message in the Free Roam scenario as well, driving a Terrier south from Ryde. Has anyone submitted a dump file to RS for their view of what is wrong?

I also get the crash on saving the free roam scenario that comes with the route. However I've created my own free roam scenario using only default and IoW stock, and that saves ok.
Driving south of Shanklin I get a repeatable crash with a Line 113 error as I enter tile -000006 -000007. I'll investigate.

This is a nicely done route, I installed it under RailWorks and once I had replaced the Terriers used in the FreeRoam scenario with the single one I have using RW_Tools, the scenario works fine. However it does crash if you try to save the Scenario using the F2 key.
I ran the route through the RW_Tools check route routine and found it was missing 3 files on my system, from the 4 listed above by styckx.
As one of these missing files is a trackrule (sieg_hage_yard_rusty.bin), maybe this is the cause of the failure on saving?
Mike

I've just run the route through RW Tools again, and I don't have any missing files, so it looks like that isn't the cause of the save crash.

The save crash seems to be a problem with the default free roam scenario supplied with the route. I created my own free roam scenario and this saves ok.
I'm still getting a Line 113 crash between Shanklin and Ventnor - perhaps somebody else can test this. The rest of the route seems fine.

Hi,
I have just reached Ventnor from Sandown with no problems, with a steam train.
For some reason I couldn't get a tube train past Sandown, I had no power.

Got as far as Sandown, but then ran out of Puff, it always was a steep climp up towards Wroxall, unfortunatley still can`t get a save off of the Free Roam so will have to go back to square one and start it again !!!
.
Had a trip down the Bembridge Branch, a couple of items to note -- Brading Cement Works LC when running from Brading fails to open but does OK on the return.. Fences missing between Brading and St.Helens and finally no Bridge over the River between the same points ( just track and ballast.)
.
.
Colin colin this problem be, if parts of the original IOW route are used, that route only goes as far as Sandown ( as in prototype / current day ) and posibly only steam track used from Sandown on -- don`t know anyything about route building but just a guess

Hi Kenny.
I wondered that at the time but the original route goes to Shanklin.
I thought I may have pressed the 'P' key and cut power,so I tried that a couple of times but still the same.I checked the engine was on in F5 as well
I'll try it again later tonight to see if its the same. Anyway I think its only steam is protypical for the era. I don't remember the Underground stock overlapping the steam but I may be wrong.
Regards
Colin
