RW_Tools - Find Zero Length Files.

Hi.

Today i had the misfortune to start receiving the, one of the dreaded, RailWorks errors namely Line: 113.
I know there is a very good chance that it is caused by zero bytes, but where?
I have lots of assets installed and it would take me ages to go through them all.
Again, Mike's RW_Tools2 has come to the rescue.
Just a click on the new Find Zero Length Files under the Edit Assets tab and more than 50 0 bytes files are identified.
I deleted all, after taking backup of course, and my three routes that wwere failing to load are up and working again.
It took no more than a couple of minutes compared to hours it would have taken.
Well done Mike, you do a fantastic job!
This tool is well worth every penny of the donation and is indispensible.

I just tried this and all the DT mk ones I downloaded from steam apperaed, yet I only bought them a couple of days ago.. What causes it?

Just saw the same thing and was a little surprised, too; all of them .TgPcDx files, which are, what, textures?

Also, mine showed an equal number of "Kuju" files, mainly .proxybin but a great number of "test.txt" files, too. Plus, a handful of stray .DDS and .TGA from a class 47 reskin.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the latest version Of RWTools2.

I am running ver. 2.0.42 and can't see the new "Find Zero Length Files" under the Edit Assets tab. If there is a later version where can I download it, I always go here:

It says to ver. 2.0.50, but just tried downloading and I still have 2.0.42.

2.0.50 is the latest and indeed what I just downloaded from the same page you linked and it works fine, Rob.

All I can think is that you've saved or maybe extracted it to a different folder...?

As far as the deletion of zero-length files goes, I trashed all those I listed above and so far, no adverse effects

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, old age catching me out again (Doh!).

When looking on my Desktop, I found I had clicked on an 'old' RWTools Zip file that I had left behind previously, instead of the one I downloaded today. All sorted now, thanks and this will teach me to be better at 'clearing' my Desktop.
