How do you move Railworks etc from one drive to another?

When I first downloaded Railworks, it helpfully installed itself on my smallest hard disk without giving me the option to install elsewhere. At the time it didn't matter, but now I'm starting to run out of diskspace. Has anyone succeeded in moving everything so that it doesn't break the package manager etc or do I have to do the painful thing of completely rebuilding my pc?

And, while I'm at it, does anybody else have the 'remember my password' box checked when logging into Steam only to have to type in your password _every_ time?

You need to move th whole Steam install dir.
I'll try in this way:
1) copy the whole Steam folder in disk/place eg: E:\program files\Steam
2) Uninstall steam
3) Reinstall steam (it will let you choose the place) giving it the above path
4) Now You can safely delete everything in the old place

As far as I know you can chose where to install Steam and all applications but not each of its applications separately.

For the password issue, I always launch Railworks from the desktop shortcut and it doesn ask me for the password.

I did this recently. I used the following from the Steam Support area. Along similar line to Richard's suggestion.

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art ... -YUBN-8129

Note: This method does not copy across saved games, just content. There is a facility to backup games within Steam if you want to use that. As far as I'm aware, both the Steam Client and the games have to be in the same location.

As for the password, I'm the same as Richard, use a shortcut and it logs me in.

Regards
Andrew

Hi perfnet.
Like you I allowed steam to install on my C drive only to find I could not install any additional routes.
So re-installed to a larger drive but when I installed IOW, it could not find any assets even though RW-Tools gave a clean bill of health.
Hope you don't have the same problem.

Would be interested if anyone else has had this type of problem with any addon routes and has found a solution.
I've had to re-install back to C drive ( only 20 gb ) after clearing some space but probably will not be able to load any more routes.
