Taa for that - just wondering if 'tonight' meant we would have to wait until 0800 our time tomorrow if they were in California?

Was rather hoping that the 15th meant start of buisness today or am I a bit old fashioned having already got the 'extras' from the UKTS file library before 0830 this morning (cart & horse I hear you cry!)

Hi.

Anyone having trouble with getting the taillight to appear on the rear TEA?
I have followed the manual but just refuses to show.

You need at least two wagons in the consist and the rear one needs to be facing 'ladder' end out. Known faults.

I have done that, have tried mixing them and a rake but light refuses to show.
I will try a verify game cache tomorrow in case something may have changed.
It is probably something simple.

The physics and weight are absolutely fantastic :D. Lol I am finding it hard to move a rake of 30 loaded TEAs with 60074! Wheel slip galore, even on low throttle! Would any of our resident drivers care to give us any tips? :)

Not a driver, but have read about trying to get away from P9 at York in a Gresley Pacific (3 cyls with only 65% cut off) and part of the trick was to compress the train as it came to a stand using the loco (tender) brake. Same principles should apply here. Starting a compressed train slowly, you only move 1 stationary wagon at a time, so the momentum of the train helps you. See if it works in RW! More difficult on an upward gradient obviously.

The Tunstead- Northwich limstone trains (60 and 24 JEAs) get held outside myhouse, and even with buckeyes there is a noticeable and noisy delay for the slack to be taken up through the train. As the TEAs are screw linked, there is more play.

Will see if this works, though going to do a full reinstall this morning to fix the ..... Package manager :-(

Keep the power low Mark, plenty of Sand if she starts slipping. I think below 35% maintains traction in a Class 60 before slipping starts.
If you want the feeling of a heavy train but with slightly less frustration, try mixing 10 or so empty wagons into the rake of 30. I know we like to keep it as realistic as possible, but in reality, a Margam Driver has 12 hours to get a rake of 30 to Westerleigh Oil Depot and back, which is a bit OTT in a simulator.
