Yes, totally annoying and was pleased the second that went... I'd only welcome a return of working TPWS grids IF proper "prototypical" actions were implemented, and not a return to the 0.1 MPH overspeed tripping the brakes out. :)
By this what is the correct procedure what is the over speed margine? Am I correct in thinking a TPWS trip can be overridden? <sorry never did like that word.

The Overspeed sensors are set at a speed that is within the braking curve for trains using the route. Eg, on one of my routes, at 75mph PSR becomes a 25Mph. The Overspeed on the approach to the 25mph is set some where around 50mph..allegedly. Ive never tripped it nor do I intend tripping it to find out but I know If Im down to 45mph for the grids, I wont get caught out. The TPWS cannot be overridden.
There is a facility to overide the trainstop function only whereby if a you are Authorised to pass a signal at Danger, which is equipped with TPWS, you can podge the override button which will suppress the TPWS for 20 seconds. Nothing to stop you reseting the AWS and buggering off once you've come to a stand though, but don't expect to be employed for much longer.

I wonder why it has been turned off, it really made you watch your speeds through signal blocks. I think that would be great if it was included in the next update patch. :)
Nowt wrong with running single yellows at that Speed providing the signal spacing is adequate....You'd want to be on the brakes fairly soon afterwards but Gloucester to Cardiff has a lot of 90mph / Three aspect signalling sections. As I've said before, Route Knowledge is God!

Indeed I say bring back TPWS if you trip it out then you've not done your homework...

TPWS does work in RW, I just managed to set it off because I was too busy admiring the Class 158 I just purchased. :x :D

Not sure actually. I had the power handle on 100% when I passed a signal at 78mph, and the brakes slammed on with all the controls being reset to neutral. I can't recall cancelling the AWS which suggests the signal was green, however it is possible I did cancelled it, as I tend to press Q if I go over a ramp as I've had the brakes slam on me before for not going inside the cab when the AWS has gone off. The AWS is a wonderful feature of RW (The single thing I wish MSTS had) but it does have a tendency to be annoying when you're outside the cab.
