When's the last time you gave your computer a good cleaning? I give mine a good cleaning perhaps once every few months. Dust and dirt can build up on the vents, fans, g-card, etc... and can really increase overheating. Just be careful when doing so... have it off and unplugged, be gentle with it. If you have a vacuum-cleaner with a soft-attachment you can use that on some areas. A can of compressed air can also help in getting into some of the hard-to-reach places. Sometimes I also use a cotton-swab / q-tip to gently clean some parts too. Don't use any wet cloth.

If its still running too hot even after cleaning, you may need to consider adding an extra cooling fan inside.

Good luck.
Agreed.
But also some Gcards tend to run that hot it just depends on the gcard itself.
Eitherway a good clean inside your case and maybe another fan will help.
Does it idle at that? what happens after an hour of playing rw? does it rise alot?

Cheers

Erm never. Didn't fancy taking it apart unless I was certain it would help. Same for my laptop which is now rather slow, that is about 4 years older than this PC. I did ask a few of my mates but they weren't sure, but now that you've suggested it I really think I should have a go.

Seems like its time to get the dusters out and give that pc a good old dust:)

that should help bring down the temp on your card.
Make sure to ground yourself touch the metal case first before touching anything inside the pc to make sure you dont fry anything:) as if your carrying static then that could fry anything inside your pc!.

also check your fans and remove as much dust from them as possible same goes for your card cpu and anything that is heavly dusted.

and Clean behind your cpu fan cotton ear buds tend to work quite well in removing the dust if you dont want to take the fan off.
Just remember to be carefull and switch it off from the mains and pull the plug out of the Power supply unit of your pc. and wait a few seconds untill there are not any lights inside the pc still on.

I've tried cleaning the lappy first and there wasn't much dust in it, but it doesn't seem to have helped. :-?
