A bit of direct competition here and there can only be good for the consumer, as it should have an influence on all RW products.
Consider the situation where both products are of equal 3D graphics quality, which of the following would influence your decision on which one to buy?

1.) Price.
2.) The number of supplied scenarios.
3.) Any additional included rolling stock items (wagons etc.).
4.) The qualify of the default sounds.
5.) Distribution considerations (steam or DRM etc.).
The value of your investments may go up as well as down.

Personally I don't consider free roams to be of much value, and I don't use them either. Plonking a few items of stock here and there and placing a few driver icons doesn't take a lot of effort.

Looks liek the RSC version is to be released on the 16th, and I don't think the JT version will be ebefore that.

Hi
My choice would be ,Price,Sounds,RS.COMS track record on sound is, well to be blunt, diabolical !its a shame, they produce excellent models then totally ruin them by penny pinching on the sounds, the sound comming from a loco be it steam, or diesel, or electric, are just as important as the quality of the modelling maybe even more so.
whoever gets the sound right will get my purchase.

Definitely not our 20. We lost ours in a hard drive crash, and then cancelled it when we saw the RSC version.

Ah I stand corrected then. Sorry to hear you lost work Tom.

Three would have been good, but I'm glad there's a version for both formats.

Well Sly is gonna have to sort out the darkness on the front of his if he wants to sell these.

Actually, Scott, I was thinking it looked better than that of the 37... May just be the lighting.
