Not what I expected for a payware route

Post by wolly1380 »

I've just installed Newcastle to york moden and there seems to be no approch controal (I came across a dubble yellow witch was also giving me a right and fether with the junction just 50 yards behind I was braking from 125MPH!) and the line out past tyneside yard undulates so much I feel as if am driving on the road not the rails
Any one else experancing this?

I also experience a few problems with signals and stuff, some of them staying red, but when i pass them, they go green. then i also have an issue with track types, and the way the dispatcher works, as the old route worked perfectly, but it seems the new route is giving the dispatcher a hard time. i also have a lot of difficulty understanding why there are no manual junctions in the shunting yards, or freight areas in the route, i'm having major problem with them, as they do not give me the freedom to move around. it is a lot of money to hand out for the route, and i did expect much more than what the package contained. Not to mention some of the track itself, it looks like the rails actually go below the sleeper, then other times it seems as though the sleepers have been removed completely.... very weird, as i don't recall seeing that in any of the other modern routes.....

So, you just installed the route and laid claim to there being no approach control on the route whatsoever? Send me a PM with the location and what scenario.

I get approach control at Newcastle so don't see a problem so far, but as Darren says, location and a screenie would be of help.

Yes I laid claim as it happened to me. I never implied the entire route I'll send you a vid as soon as am done in work. Don't worry am not gonna jump on the "ha you got it wrong band wagon" it just has some bugs that may have happened at some point in the development stage that's all I am one of those ppl that will beta test but at the wrong point in the product dev

Not as yet but I've made Darren aware and it seems there was a cross over put in but the signal was not changed to reflect, there's another signal that gives a red with no approch contoal too.
