Degrading Quality?
It seems that every once in a while there is some failure in the RW system.
For example, today I loaded the voyager (CC) and found the cab was slightly shaking, after driving for ten minutes, the cab was shaking with buttons out of there place going an inch to the left then right of where they were supposed to be. When I switch to the exterior view, every thing was shaking and flickering. and the supports on the cantinery poles had turned purple. How many have had this happen to them? And is there a way to fix it for good? What causes it?

Maybe Railworks can't handle high speeds too well?

Is your graphics card overheating perhaps ?

I've never had this happen, but if this could be easily recreated I think we could market RW's to hippies.

Re: Degrading Quality?
I get the cab shakes fairly often. Restarting the app is the only solution. I thought it was trying to simulate my alcohol problem, but apparently RS/RW has problems of its own.
The value of your investments may go up as well as down.
Re: Degrading Quality?
No idea what causes this but if there's any sort of pattern to it at all, it seems to be after a long(ish) session. It's definitely not overheating in my case as my temps rarely go above 45deg C...

Re: Degrading Quality?
So there is a problem here, but no one knows why apparently?

Your graphics card rarely goes over 45deg's when playing ( or is that the processor temp) ?Wikkus wrote:No idea what causes this but if there's any sort of pattern to it at all, it seems to be after a long(ish) session. Re: Degrading Quality?
On the subject of graphic cards overheating, rarely is the stock cooling up to the job after a few weeks of use. I use zalman coolers on my 4850's costing an extra £35 per card and the temps don't climb above 50c. Using the stock coolers the temps would be in the high 70's and after a few weeks of use may climb into the 90's. The problem is that the enclosed fan or fans on the stock coolers, which are fairly universally used, clog up with dust underneath the covers where you cant see it. You can remove the cards and blow them out but unless you use a wire to free the impacted dust from the area immediately surrounding the fans the cooling ducts will remain clogged. You need to do this every few weeks.

Correct. GPU1 & 2 currently at 38degC. Processor temp 32.5deg C, ambient is 19 deg C.CaptScarlet wrote:Your graphics card rarely goes over 45deg's when playing ( or is that the processor temp) ?Wikkus wrote:No idea what causes this but if there's any sort of pattern to it at all, it seems to be after a long(ish) session. Well that explains that, I thought it must be something like that if true.Wikkus wrote:Correct. GPU1 & 2 currently at 38degC.
