Installing IOW/66 add-on to RW

Post by batling »

Hi,

Firstly apologies if its been sorted but I couldn't find a clear answer searching the forum.

I have the Just trains IOW/66 add-on on download for RS. I'm trying to port over my routes but they need the IOW assets to run. I've tried the Legacy button in the packager but it says none found.

Is there a simple explanation or will I have to download it again?. I've tried creating a package of the IOW route but this will only setup th eroute in RW not install the assets.

Hi Ant!

All I did to get the assets to railworks was to copy the Island Line folder from RSDL in the RS directory to the RSDL folder in the RW directory :D
I still can't get the route in RW though only the assets.

Thanks James, I'll try that!

Wonder if you can do the same thing with the Class 66...

Why can't you get the route into RW?

Hmmm... I know this sounds obvious but have you created a package for the route? I'd already done this and then copied the route folder over as per your advice, cleared the blueprint cache and it works, scenarios and all!

Also I've just ported over one of my routes successfully! Unfortunately though I had to strip some assets out that can't be used in RW - like Sly's slant fencing. But I'm going to try and reinstate them now... I hope...

Next, 66 and 08 shunter...

Thanks for your help James,

Hi James,

Have you tried using the 'Copy Route' facility found under the 'Copy from RS' Tab in RWTools to install your IOW into RW?

Have you tried using the "Install Legacy Rail Simulator Addon" button in the Package Manager, lower button on the right-hand side? I have, a couple of days ago, it does work and I did not have to transfer individual Assets afterwards.

Hi,

I can't speak for James but my own installation says there are no add-on's found.

In the end I managed it by copying the whole file into RW and then making an rpk of the route and installing that way.

Kind Regards
