Hi All,

Sorry if this has been covered before , but if so , I cannot find it.

I am creating a standard scenario and would like to trigger a pop up message at a certain point along the route. Is there a way of doing this?

I can get messages to pop up imediatly after the last instruction, but would like the message to appear at a certain point along the route.

Any information would be greatfully appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Jason

Hi Jason,

With messages you can specify a time to wait since the previous item in the timetable has been done.

So... if you created a stop at instruction and created a message after it. You can specify I think in the first box of the message a +00:10 value which will make the message appear 10 seconds AFTER you completed the stop at instruction.

You can also change a stop at instruction to a go via instruction by setting the speed that must be achieved for the instruction to be completed at something other than 0pmh. So most people set it to 1mph. This is important to know because way point markers can NOT be used to to assist in the timing of a message. If you place a message after a way point instruction the message delay will not take the way point into account and the delay timer will start counting and so it will start counting from the previous passenger pickup, stop at or go via etc instruction.

Hope that helps.

I am no expert but this is what I have learnt when I have been creating scenarios.
