WCML Kingmoor SPAD

Hi all.
I'm trying my hand at scenarios for the first time. So far all seems to be going well with routing my loco through Carlisle station from Kingmoor shed. One thing i can't seem to do anything about is a shunt signal on the line leading out of Kingmoor towards Carlisle protecting the good lines. Even though the signals after this are giving me clearance this one remains red. I've tried asking to pass at red but nothing ever pops up no matter where i put the engine so you get a SPAD error in the de-brief. Am i missing something obvious here or is it simply broken ? Its not a scenario killer but would be nice to get my first scenario released as good as it can be.

One other small thing if you don't mind me picking your brains a little more. The scenario is BR set in the early 80's. My collection of DLC is growing but small. I had intended to use both the class 31 and 101 from steam. However i would love to include the fastline VDA vans also but am unsure on how poular such items away from steam are ? Would i alienate too many people from using the scenario or would this be acceptable ?

A big thanks for any advice given

steve

Aaah, another Steve, seems to be a popular name on this forum, welcome to the club....... :D

Sorry, can't answer your first question but on your second point, Payware content is quite permissible, there are loads of scenarios available already that include some degree of Payware assets along the way, of course, there are lots of freeware rolling stock as well, variety, is the name of the game, mix it up a bit and it'll be interesting viewing, don't worry unduly about what wagons / locomotives you use, the vast majority of us have much of what's been built for Payware and we're always looking for a new scenario to play with them on, it may even spark someone's interest in buying a certain item if they haven't obtained it already, but, if folks don't have them, they can swap them out in their RW Tools editor.

Cheerz. Transport Steve.

With regards the signal, which end of the loco is the driver icon placed? If the 'front' of the loco is at the north end, then you would need to use Shift+Tab to request to pass the signal. It's something that catches quite a few people out.

As for including payware, use what you want to see in the scenario, it's your creation after all :)

Thanks fellas, appreciate your help.

I will, as you feel its right, put appropriate stock in for the scenario.

As for Signals, they are strange goings on in this game at times. I sent a prior service through first along the alternate path of the point. The Shunt signal changed to white so i was happy. The next signal on the line turned red which previously had been green  Luckily the despatcher let me pass and the scenario so far has run fine for the 50% i have routed so far. As i add more traffic i'm sure the signals will change again but i am learning as i go.

Thanks a ton for the shift-TAB command, it certainly caught me out  explains alot too !! Especially this being as this scenario has some shunting involved.

Cheers fellas...
