Pathing problems
I have just done a scenario for York-Newcastle modern, driving a HST non stop York to Newcastle (KX-Abd) I depart York 1402 and the service arrives at Newcastle at 1500 RW says 1511 ticking the timetable box i have entered 1459 arrival time (for 1500 departure) as i speed northward i get stopped on the mainline at Darlington at 1425/6 waiting for a southbound service going across me into Darlington station at 1534 is there a way of getting the path without changing my train better than an express or changing the southbound service lower than an express.

What is the effort percentage for your train?
The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

default 75%

Re: Pathing problems
There's your problem. It means Railworks assumes that you will drive at only 75% of the speed limit on average - not realistic for a non-stop service.
The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

Also, what service type is your train and the AI set to? If the AI is of a 'higher' service type (e.g. 'Special') it will get priority over the player.

Re: Pathing problems
It looks like both are set to Express Passenger. This usually results in Railworks giving priority to the train arriving at the conflict first - at least as far as it's internal timetable assumes.

both trains are set as expresses, i will try setting the player train to 100%, thanks for that
