Post by pendolinobasher »

For an i act i have all planned out in my mind i have a quick query i plan to drive a 37 with 10 Mk1 coaches from Southend-Shenfield but in the process i want to get a 37 coupled to the back that sits in a bay platform at Wickford is it possible to drive the train to Wickford, change loco and couple the 37 to the back and then go back to the original loco and carry on with my duties up to Shenfield??

Not easily, no. I don't think you can change cabs outside of the current consist in either a Standard or Timetabled scenario. In a Free Roam it would be possible, but you can't give the player instructions to complete in that case.

Ahhh in that case nevermind i have got another query now unfortunately :( :(

Can you get anything into Southend Platform 1 because im fighting with it again

1.My 317 won't go into the platform unless i use the end of platform marker and that makes it disappear
2.My player service 70013 10 Mk1s and 37668 wont go into it either as it i get the usual pathing error, i can't get into platforms 3 and 4 as there are no points to change from the down line into either platform and i can't run wrong line either because i will have a head on collision with a service coming in the opposite direction.

I'm not familiar with the route in question, but it sounds like there are some problems with the directionality and maybe signalling. You can check directionality and other attributes by pressing Space a few times in the editor.

Note that if a train goes into a platform but is not completely clear of the signal links, it will block the junction until it leaves again. This happens, for example, if you send a 3-car train into the Slough bay platform.

The answer was staring me in the face, Southend has loads of stabling sidings so i have made the passenger service arrive into platform 2 and as i am due to arrive the passenger service leaves for the siding so i can arrive into platform 2 afterwards. :D :D
