I've managed to delete it, but i was deleting it because it kept coming up with broken consits. it does not matter what train i put at this one signal it always says broken consist. Any ideas?

You may need to renumber any of the vehicles in case they share identical numbers with other vehicles also present in the scenario. This is a major cause of Broken Consist errors, and is primarily caused by placing vehicles that have a narrow range of possible numbers (or individually numbered reskins) that could be added automatically when the vehicle is placed. The problem is that while having multiple vehicles with identical numbers is bad, the program still allows identically numbered vehicles to be placed without pulling you up on that when you place them.

I kind of know what you mean, but i only have 1 train in the whole scenario. So it cant be a conflict with duplicate numbers. I've had this before just with a loco and cant remember how i rectified it, and looking on this forum nobody seems to be able to define what 'broken consist' means. There must be an action that creates this message, if we knew it would solve so many broken consts errors as i know they are quite common.

Broken consist can be an empty consist. This happens when you delete a consist with an driver. To avoid this, delete first the driver, then the train.
RW-Tools has an option in the Scenario-Editor to delete empty consist from an scenario.
I hope that helps.

I've removed empty consists by using RW tools, but i'm still getting broken consist error message. BUT its not giving me any co-ordinates as to where it is, so i'm not even sure its refering to the train i've actually placed.
