I have hit my first hurdle in my first attempt at scenario creation.
I've created a short AI train at Hellifield down platform on Jetgriff's excellent S&C. The end destination is Garsdale Hawes platform but the red route takes the train backward, then past the Hellifield Up platform and along the up line as far as the crossover at Settle. I've tried adding a waypoint to siding 8 on the down line but that doesn't work. It's probably something simple, dumb or both, but I can't figure this. I've attached a timetable view below.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Try unticking the "Reversing Allowed" toggle on the second instruction. That should either fix it, or at least reveal the real problem.
The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.
Re: Settle & Carlisle - AI Train route
Tried that originally, but have just changed the destination to be Long Preston down (next station along the line). Clearing the allow reverse on that, I get the same error:
Insufficient bi-directional/electrified track
Non zero speedpriot to change of direction
Reversing not allow
Message.
For some reason the Dispatcher? doesn't want to send the train through the set of points at the end of the platform.

Re: Settle & Carlisle - AI Train route
Hi
I think the issue here may be that some parts of the track network are set up as passenger or freight only, which affects AI pathing. If you press spacebar the track should turn solid yellow (main line), blue (passenger only) or red (freight only) and allow you to adjust the service class of your train appropriately. THere is no reason that you can't set up a passenger train with a freight service class if that's necessary to get it to go where you want it to go

Re: Settle & Carlisle - AI Train route
I'm guessing that it's the short piece of track in read?
Is there a table to identify what the colours refer to anywhere please?
Had a look in the doco and can't see anything to press.
Thanks for the help.
Dave
Edit: Yup. Had to delete all stops and re-do, but that's the prob.
