Is there a 'step by step' guide (idiot proof!) to making scenery items 'Scenario Specific'?
I have tried searching for this and have found several different versions, non of which work for me no matter how hard I have tried - honest!
MTIA,

Please have a look here:
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... s#p1423891
Then save the bin. Clear cache.
You can not have Scenario Specific Assets which are connected to the tracks with its links, e.g. mileposts, signals ....
They will be always added to the route.
Be carefull with Steam maintained Assets, the change will be overwritten by update or by integrations tests.
Make a copy with an different name before.
Good Luck
Stefan

Thanks for that Stefan - still can't seem to save a newly inserted scenery asset in to a scenario only rather than the route though?

All you need to do is add the asset while you are in the scenario editor rather than the world editor. Here's a rather ridiculous example...

Test Trak scenario
Full Tilt Finale opened in the scenario editor and a few inappropriate assets added, just using the usual LHS flyout where you will note that scenario-only icons (locos, wagons, consists) are displayed. There's a major test about to commence and obviously somebody wants to get a good look at what's going on, so what could possibly give a better view than putting the Yorkshire Wheel next to the track?
Holy $#!%, somebody's spying on us! And attempting to hide their ridiculous ferris wheel behind some pathetic plumes of smoke!

Quit to main menu and immediately loaded a different scenario straight to driver mode, and the scenario objects are not present. Obviously spying on 45 year-old electric locos effectively requires more sneaky and subversive methods!

To take this a little further. If I created a scenario with scenario specific scenery and sent it to someone who did not have said items, would the scenario still work albeit without the extra scenery objects?

Well... it *might*. I've recently seen mention of problems if animated objects in particular are missing. But at the very least the specific objects won't be there.
