Sorry to bump this, but either bump or new thread.
Would any 26,27 or 33's of ever worked between the rock dryers to the dock at Carne point?

It's entirely possible that more people who might know lurk in the Real Railway Discussion section.
The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

Re: Some clay questions
Classes 26 & 7, highly unlikely as these were both concentrated in Scotland fairly early in their working lives. Class 33s would be unusual, but not beyond the realms of believability as they had a tendency to crop up where you least expected them. I've seen no evidence personally that they ever worked into Cornwall though.

Re: Some clay questions
Hi Robert
I can find no record and have no memory of the Class 26, 27 or 33's on these duties.
The diesels that did run these trains were the Westerns, Class 42/43 Warships, Class 41 A1A-A1A Warships, Class 22 Baby Warships, and latterly the 37s and 25s. Hymeks rarely ventured into Cornwall.

Re: Some clay questions
I suspect a 33 might have made it to Cornwall once or twice, but Devon was the limit really and I don't think they ever did much freight in the westcountry. Cornish regional ( as opposed to freight going in and out of the area - that's 37s/47s in blue days ) engines were basically whatever was based at Laira & sub-shedded to St Blazey, and that wouldn't have been 33s ever. I very much doubt a 26/7 came within 100 miles of Cornwall.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

Re: Some clay questions

Re: Some clay questions
A couple of 33's once made it down to Falmouth on a railtour but I have never seen or heard of 26, 27, or 33 making into Cornwall or ever seen a picture to support a visit.
Nice thought though..
Best Wishes,
