Wow. Excellent pieces of work! Especially to get that quality out of Sketchup. Have you managed to import the wagon into RW yet?

Not yet

At the moment I have only exported static "clutter" items, so I need to work out the animation for the wheels and bogies

Also need to work out the containers, was hoping for more variety then the red/green/blue at the moment in RW, but that would require a lot of versions...

The variety shouldn't be too bad to do. In the simplest way you could just have copies of the same wagon each with different child object entries so that each displays a differently liveried container. This is how the Euro Container Pack works anyway.

Or... and I don't know if this would be possible; but you may be able to use some form of dynamic numbering to show a different container. It may be that the container has to be a permanent attachment (then you would only need two versions, one with and one without a container). The texture on the container could be changed like the destination textures on DMU/EMU stock can be by changing a letter or number of the wagon in the scenario editor.

Hmm, some interesting ideas there, thanks very much - especially like the dynamic texturing idea, if that works...

OK so the Pocket wagon is done...

(OK so I used a picture of a model one to help... "sort out"... the fine details... )

Fantastic work.

One small thing. You've mirrored the ends of the wagon, but they are actually different. Sorry, but this photo of a model wagon is the best picture I could find to show the difference.

Wow, great stuff.

At the risk of being extraordinarily cheeky (and you knocking these out for fun by the looks of it) I can't ignore an offer. I know its not container related but I'd love a smallish hopper of some kind - it seems like a gap and something that would span many eras. http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/brironorehopperhkv sort of thing.

Just thought I'd ask, no pressure or anything. Will dance / reskin / send biscuits ;-)

Funny you should mention that...

I wanted to make a JNA Mendip Rail Bogie Aggregate Wagons, but couldn't find the plans...

Would a 25 1/2 Ton iron ore hopper do?

meanwhile the FGA Wagon is now done...

At the risk of sounding like a bit of a newbie.

The 3D model looks fairly complete there, so how far from being in RW are they?
