I've noticed all the modellers on here (including myself) post renders after midnight! Tells you something doesn't it!

Keep up the good work my friend :)

Haha

Yep absolutely right... render last thing before bed, just to see if any progress has been made.

I'd love to show more progress, however Tiscali has turned to garbage since Talk Talk took over and I can't even login to my own ftp area at the moment to host images!

Just trust me, stuff is being added and done and things 8)

OK, finally got things working again... who knew you could upload to FTP via the DOS command window, I do love learning how things worked before Windows and .NET :)

Anyway, back to the Q1

The tender is now complete. One of the nice things of the relatively simple design of the Q1 is that I've got plenty of polys going spare so I can go pretty mad on detail.

And of course, as you can see the end of the tender from the cab view, that needs some detailing as well

Apart from updating the internal valve gear to show off the very cool animation, I'm ready to call this done. So next up will be unwrapping, hidden face culling and then the fun of texturing.
I'll sort out some beauty shots later of the whole loco and tender.. well, as much beauty as she can muster :D

I guess the answer would be "most of us DOS dinosaurs", Pete :)
