Absolutely fantastic, but just because you can make engines don't you go thinking you should stop making your amazing wagons...that would be a disaster!

Superb work Pete, I can't quite believe how quickly this one has come along - I mean you've only been modelling for a fortnight on & off & you've wallpapered your kitchen - where do you find the time? All good stuff! The tender should be relatively quick to do but it does have slightly awkward curved sides. As for the texturing well this video I found should show how filthy they were kept in standard practise:

+ inner working motion compliments of Sly should be a brilliant finish to the model.

Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
Thanks very much guys
@bigben Don't be daft!
I'm probably as excited about your Castle pack as I am about getting this into game myself
Fear not on the future, wagons are still in waiting to be made with the list for GWR Pack 4 already decided. This was just a little change of pace having made the other 2 wagon packs back to back I needed a break, and I fancied a new challenge. In fact, I'm of a mind to supply a rather unusual wagon and load along with the Q1 that matches it's heritage.. the load is something I've already made that was another change of pace a month or so back with no real idea of what to do with it.. isn't it strange how these things can coincide.
Thanks for the video Chris, I'd not actually seen that one and some very useful colour footage. I'd already planned to release this in it's "real" livery of black and filth but it's nice to see where the filth is meant to go
The tender is underway, as you say I started with the sides. Getting that curve just right so it flows from loco cab to tender is vital and having got that just so I'm now pressing on with the rest.
Thanks to you all for the encouragement, it's really kept me upbeat when I've been stitching vertices for the n'th time trying to get it looking just right. I'll also be coming back to read them all often when I face the dreaded unwrap

Hi Pete,
You got the loco finished already???
I'm made up you've got the inside motion animated, thats going to look mint when its running.
How are you planning on modelling the coupling?
