This looks like great model, just needs a good Southern route to run it on

Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
Well as all have said - this is a truely fantastic model - you are to be congratualted to the fullest - if you every in the West Midlands or Sussex (when I am) will buy you a pint at least...
.
Managed at second attemp to complete scenario -- first had to save and go out, on returning, loaded saved game and the engine went into an uncontrollable wheel slip -- second attemp 100% on the Reg, 41% on the Reverser and brakes set at 18% over the hills and managed no less than 21.2mph and went over Masbury at 36.7mph having just shut the regulator for the downhill run to Sheppton.
.
Oh and that inside motion is like others have said, enough to make to SPAD, collide etc - it`s just fantastic to watch....
.
.
Cheers Ken

Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
Hi
By way of trying to say thanks to Pete for the fantastic work he did on my behalf testing the Leafy Suburbs scenarios I've put together a bit of a scenario in his name...
(and thanks to Manuel as ever for the fantastic screenshot - no Thomas the Tank Engine here
)

We didn't think it was necessarily a good idea to upload the route to UKTS given the nature of the Q1's distribution, and so I've included a download link to the file below.
There's a bit of a caveat on my behalf in the text file included in the download but otherwise if you've got Pete's Q1, Leafy Suburbs (V2) is working for you and you enjoy a bit of to-ing and fro-ing then please feel free to have a drive.
Cheers
Bob

[Edit - you really do have to take this scenario as it is (it does work). I am not now in a position to make any changes to it.]

Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
Thank you Bob, I'll look forward to driving this, "eccentric" signalling and all
Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
Manuel - I did my very best with the 'Thomas' shot, but it didn't work so well.
15mph limit through the Junction, and as long as you've not been too slow beforehand you won't get hit. That's all I'm saying!

Thanks to both Pete and Bob for the Q1 and LS V2 - normally Bank Holidays are wet and stay at home -- unfortunatley got to go out quite a bit so will run the scenario ASAP when a few minutes are to hand

Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
Hi, interesting scenario, still can't count the wagons though, failed twice so far!
& interesting that this route also has the same problem as SDB at Laira, - in the yard where you drop off the wagons & talk to the `suit`
ie track properties going walkabout & a -2** mph speed limit. A question for Hertsbob do you know which track or track rule you used for this area please? I'm trying to nail this fault down! I'm asking because when you get this fault no track properties are visible so I can't check!
Thanks
Mark
Thanks

Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
just tried the scenario that comes with the q1 and she certainly is a powerful beast and she looks stunning thank you making this excellent loco available to the public
Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
Hi Mark
I'm not sure why no track rule would be visible but as far as I'm aware the speed limit weirdness is due to their being no secondary speed limit assigned in the track properties tab. I'm convinced that it originally picked up the primary speed limit but something seems to have been updated at some stage which has resulted in the strange number you're seeing. I'm going through all the trackwork in that area at the moment to resolve the issue.
Cheers

Re: Southern/BR Q1 Class
Thanks Bob - will see if that is the case with SDB as well - these core updates are a double edged sword as has been said previously!
