Adding additional markers AFTER starting a route build.

Hi all, I have recently commenced a new route build complete with series and named markers. However, I have now got my hands on some additional research material and want to expand the route further than I originally planned.

Is it possible to use Google earth to create additional named and series markers for the route extensions and add them to my current build without adversely affecting the work I have already done? If so, how do I go about it? Or would I have to start from scratch with all the markers uploaded from the start?

Thanks, James.

You can have as many marker files in game as you like, so just create some new markers and a blueprint, and throw them in. Or use a program like RW Decal, which makes things a lot easier, and automates the markers!

Easiest way for me would be to open up the marker bin file in RWtools and copy an existing entry, rename it and change the lat/long using figures from google maps or earth. Repeat as required.

If you've only got a few to do, it will be much quicker than going through the blueprint editor.

Thanks for the replies. Job is now sorted. I had a morbid fear of buggering the whole route up!

The biggest PITA in this process is the Google Earth hierarchy under "MyPlaces". You're okay if the last markers you worked on are those you want to add on as these just open up in the list, but it can be quite frustrating reloading from a kml file then trying to add and save further markers. Either end up not going in the list, overwriting so you lose all the previous markers or the csv file failing to overwrite when you convert with RW Tools.
