chriswillis81 wrote:Good afternoon everyone,

As i said above, i decided to start from scratch again and read the manual provided with rs_tools.

I followed everything to the letter, my new route shows up correctly with nice green grass, the long and lat that it displays are also correct, and i then used rs_tools to convert my kml file (for my route markers) straight to DCSV. It told me that the route.bin and route.dcsv should be located in my assets folder under RouteMarkers, so off i went and checked and they are correctly placed there.

I load up Railworks, go into the editor for my route, i make sure 'route markers' is ticked and i also go into my developer folder and ensure that my route has a nice green tick next to that. Both are possitive but i dont have any markers down on the green grass.

Help?
Do you have or see a list with the markers in the fly-out menu?
(on the right side in the editor)

But I must tell you that I don't know anything about DCSV and it' s results.

I use RWTools for the route template.

In the right hand fly out i click on ChrisWillis and then i get HastingstoCharingCross (my route) with a green tick, no other lists.

When you say you use RW_Tools is that maybe where i am going wrong, as i am using rs_tools ???

I ask becuase i donated and got a licence which is generic to both rs and rw tools, when you open the licence it has to be placed in the rs_tools folder but i'mnot sure on the difference in the two programs.

Ok Chris.
Your route is there.
Then use the middle menu > see red square? Click the bleu circle.
Then the markers show up in a list.

I use RWTools Chris.
RW = RailWorks.

If i click on the button at the top then i get a list of route markers for all the default routes by the looks of it but not mine.

I created my kml file from google earth using a 'path' and not putting pins down with names on, so i dont even know what should be showing up in RW, i think i should be expecting a long black line to appear on the screen indicating the line i drew on GE?

Ok. I did use those yellow pins :)
Every 50 meters.
That' s the way I do it he.
(the old way ;) )

But again, other people have other solutions.
And again, I do know nothing about DCSV.
