Re: The Midlands
Bakerboy my route goes as far South as Winson Green and Witton and as far North as Bushbury and Oxley, its also set in the early 70's but I do run the occasional scenario from the early 90's.
Lynxlad thats some great work you've done there, if I could produce that degree of work I'd push my own route down to New Street.

Re: The Midlands
Looks very good, slight issue, the track laid at new st looks way to clean, as a regular user of new st, its a dirty and smelly station
can't wait to see more images.
*edit* quick question?; where did you get the track plans for new st? or have you done it by eye/guess work?

Re: The Midlands
It appears I don't have the skill to build realistic routes, I have started a fictional route based in the midlands
It's my short attention span and my age which hinders me

Re: The Midlands
See, I've always been tempted to do the midland route between Leicester and Sheffield/Nottingham, but I have very little time. I probably might find time over the next few months once my uni exams are over.
As for resources, I live on the midland route and I have a small "library" of pictures and track diagrams for the line.
And OP: You're dead right. The midlands are a poorly served area with railworks. Stockwise, I have voyagers, class 158/170s and an EMT HST. There are very few EMUs that serve the midlands on railworks. The only real EMU we have is the class 380. Conversion to a 350? I think it exists, but I've not found a working one yet. Oh and the 390, which is a joy to drive.

Was building the midland mainline route for Railworks 2 - click here!! but is now on hiatus. Message me for any details concerning this route's continuation.
