Oooo, guide rails for sharp bends!! :p :D is this being built into the track rule?? If it is, is another wonderful milestone!

Thanks for the replies guys,

the guide rail isn't actually part of the track loft, it is a seperate loft altogether, that is laid using the offset tool. The reason we decided to do it like that is so that the rail loft can be used in other places where spare rail could be used, i.e. Spare bits of rail lying around.

Thanks,

Funny that this should appear as I was thinking just last week, whilst driving the Bristol to Exeter route, that we need some lengths of CWR to sit in the four foot.

Our point exactly. Maybe I should do one on it's side as well? Any thoughts?

Anyway, I can't remember the last time I textured! Any comments/improvements so far? (I know that the chair is a bit pink, it definitely didn't look like that in 3DC!)

Can you tell what it is yet? Again, more details are to follow, but I can confirm that you can tell the difference a long way away, although improvments to the colours are still in progress.

any comments will be gratefully recieved.

AAahh,, now that's a bit better... a new semaphore signal (looks like a stop distant to me) Though it a bit odd that the light is between the red/ green and yellow/green glass...( though I'm sure you just done this to confuse us) If it is, its looks really good even from here :)

Regards

pete

Edit: And those rails are coming on a treat too!! Fantastic work

Nahh, the spectacles are completely different objects to test the textures out before finalizig the transparency. Same as above for the light being in the middle.

@pete: thanks, I didn't notice your comment there

The bleeding scrap metal thieves 'ave been in!!! Although I'm not sure how they got it out without touching the keys!

Must have done something wrong while texturing, and dad is also moaning that the PW gang haven't bothered to but enough ballast down: looks like there's going to be some slippage there! I know that the ballast texturing isn't right, but is the rail, albeit only one rail, good?

Dad's progress on signals so far.

Alignment still to do and the colouring in the day needs a bit more. This is the 14ft post with 3ft arms, there will be a 21ft with 5ft arms also.
What do you think? Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks,
