Hi chaps,
Noticed the link in the Route Building Tutorial doesn't work. Anybody know of any other places to get DEM Data for the UK from?
Cheers,
Paul

These are fairly recently released DEM files from Ordnance Survey. There are some issues are certain latitude boundaries which cause a "Something Bad Has Happened" error in Railworks (for instance, the tiles immediately adjoining the 51-52 degree north boundary). At these points it is necessary to substitute in the slightly lower resolution files from here http://dds.cr.usgs.gov/srtm/version2_1/SRTM3/
And this handy map shows which DEM file covers which area

Hope this helps

Best to go to the parent site then via the Public Data... link, then the USGS DDS link (not the seamless link).
That brings you into the root directory of the server where they happen to be keeping the files this month (which is why the link frequently expires).
Alternately, there's the enhanced UK data in the file library here, Files 24981 through 24986. (Edit: As noted above in the post that beat me to it!).
However you might still need the NASA files as backup when working near certain latitude line boundaries, as the high res data causes RW to lock up when hitting the T key.
