Please help fixing SBHH in route

Post by rivimey »

Folks,

I'm tryiing to help someone develop a route, and although he's sent me two successive rwp files of it, I'm continuing to get SBHH errors when launching the edtor. I've tried running RW_Tools on it and tried to fix those issues noted, but am getting errors in textures (invisible.TgPcDx and one loft (gen_fence_post_n_rail.bin) that I'm not sure how to fix. Are these by themselves enough for SBHH or is there likely another problem as well? Are the .dump files of any use to anyone?

Needless to say, he can edit things fine!

Thanks in advance,

Ruth

Hi

When installing a new route, sometimes it helps to delete the blueprint cache first.

The missing texture and loft should not be enough to cause a crash. Can you describe in a bit more detail what happens and when. Do you get a detailed error message?

I have tried, using the Tools&Docs tab button. It doesn't seem to make any difference.

Just "Something bad happened in your program", sometime after the loading screen appears, but before any other view. Occasionally I get a variation on those words, but I haven't pieced together why one or the other appears. I don't get any other hint as to what's happened.

I have also tried verifying the game cache, even reinstalling RW, and TBH I really with RW would say what "something" had happened! Is there any point sending a dump to RS.com?

Ruth

P.S. I've now "fixed" the missing textures mentioned, by copying from one folder to another. Still goes wrong.

Hi

I presume there's no stock in the route?

I don't actually know for sure (because I can't load it!), but it's possible there is. However asset-checking in RW_Tools doesn't reveal missing stock.

Can you get into the route via the editor selection at the front of the game or are you trying to load it first before going into the editor.

Hi Ruth

The only other thing that springs to mind would be to delete the Free Roam scenario from the RW menu and see what happens then. If it's already broke, you can't break it! :-?

Good luck.

Indeed it was. I deleted the existing one, then for safety made a new empty one, and it loaded ok.

Yay! Thanks folks, :D
