Evening guys, may I ask a quick piece of advice please?

I have noted, roundabout since installing the GARL assets that the route has developed a notable stutter which is at a regular interval of a few seconds. So a train will be zooming along quite happily at 30fps. then it will drop to 14fps for about 5 seconds and then back up to 30. The cycle continually repeats and seems to occur no matter how much scenery is in the area.

I have reinstalled windows, reloaded the route, disabled virus software and it is still the same with the regular drop to 14fps. I have even run the route with the details setting on 1 and it still happens.

This is making it quite unplayable and a real shame. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so any advice would be gratefully received.

Apart from the issues its all going well but I am concerned there is something wrong with the route itself.

Thank you

Jamie

Are the GARL assets included in the route, Jamie? If they are, it is possible the route has too many assets?

What is the average asset to tile count?

Only about three tiles are over 2000 with one nearly 3000.

I have removed the GARL assets (not individually deleted them though) and its no better.

I guess next is to cut the tiles to below 2000?

Well, on my own route, I have quite a few tiles over 2000 assets and don't get a studdering in the sense that you describe.

I guess the real test would be to see if this occurs on an other's system, if it doesn't happen there, then it has to be something on your install.

I don't own GARL, but I do have IOW.

Thank you anyway. I have someone that can test it who has Garl.

Although if you have several tiles over 2000 seems I have an issue with the route itself. Other routes seem fine though! Oh well fingers crossed I can resolve it
