Hi,

I have an annoying problem that often occurs on my world editor. I'm making a route when Railworks crashes and I get a message saying 'something bad happened to your program would you like to save a diagnostic file. I click yes and it gives me a .dmp file so I can't open or read it. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The dump file is only useful if you want to email it to the RailWorks/RailSimulator support guys. But chances are you may never get any kind of real human reply from them (you might, but most times RailWorks users trying to contact RW/RS support just get the automated "Read the FAQs" robot response).

Anyways, you're probably better off running "LogMate", which gives you the user a more intelligible way to try and figure out what may be the cause of the error(s). You can enable this by first going to the "Settings" tab from the initial launch-screen before running RailWorks.

Another good useful utility quite helpful, especially for people getting into the route & scenario building side of things, is RW_Tools. It can also help in tracking down errors in routes and scenarios, and also has many powerful features.
