Hi guys.
I was wondering, does anyone know if the following "Signs Kit" would work for RailWorks, or is it just compatible with Rail Simulator only?

Or, is there a similar Signs Kit out there that is compatible for use with RailWorks?
Thanks.

Re: Signs Kit question
Might be different, although I think it will work.

Re: Signs Kit question
Hello Don,
Welcome to Railworks.
I cannot see any enamel signs under the Railworks heading, only those you have shown and these as well under the Rail Simulator banner, but, they appear in a Railworks route that I've downloaded, so, you should be OK.

Re: Signs Kit question
Hi Don
I have not used Sly's kit to create signs for RW but I think it should work. There are some limitations with it which Sly never got around to fixing but if you are really interested in creating your own signs using this kit as a basis then this thread might be of interest -
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... sd=a&hilit
It is for Rail Simulator but the principles are the same for RailWorks
I should add that it is considerably easier to create signs from scratch with 3D Canvas or another modelling program compatible with RailWorks than laboriously following my tutorial so if you are likely to want to create your own models for RW in the future, then I suggest you start straight away on learning to use 3D Canvas or something similar.

Re: Signs Kit question
TransportSteve: Thanks for the feedback and the link. Looks good. I will probably soon get around to trying it out.
I've been getting into the route-building side of things for several months now with RailWorks, and I thought it would be kinda neat to be able to add in custom made signs. But I do like the look of these old-fashioned looking signs in the pack you recommend.
Acorn: Thanks. Well, I'm not into the graphic-artist development side of things. Perhaps I have to realize it's probably beyond my limits, skills or understanding to do so (I've researched it a bit online to get an idea of what might be involved, and most of it looks waaaay too confusing for me or beyond my interest to learn). Plus, most of these 3D graphic artist programs tend to be very costly, and/or a very steep learning curve. And then you'd probably want to have some interest and artistic talent to begin with. I do very much admire and appreciate those with the know-how and skills to be able to develop their own assets/models and such. It's a special talent for sure.
But as for myself, for now I'll try to stick with what I'm able to do within the editor (which was a fairly steep learning curve in itself, but I was determined to learn how to do it), and perhaps I may use some additional assets addons I find to help spruce up things and add a bit more variety. Plus I try to use my imagination and creative side to make interesting routes even with just the default assets.
Cheers!
