Thanks Stephen.

Mundo - what can I say about those??? They look absolutely superb and really would be the icing on the cake at the moment. :D

Tonight I've been trying to recreate this area with some success - you'd be surprised what can be done with an inverted footbridge support!

I'll link to this picture as well (same view), just because I think it's a really nice shot:

John - no worries at all. Whatever you dig up is bound to cause me loads of extra work anyway!

Cheers chaps

Hello Bob and all reading this thread
You are certainly setting yourself a challenge with the flight of locks...Well done
Mundo the lock gates are perfect
I've always thought the only thing missing from the canals are lock gates
Kind regards Stephen

Hi

I think challenge is the right word! To be fair I was never going to get it 100% accurate, but I've done my best.

And to try and give some context, you can see Rickmansworth Church Street station in the background of this shot:

Hi

Indeed. Even though Mundo's lock gates are still a work in progress I think they look excellent and add a certain something to the scenes.

I've been beavering away putting together Croxley Green station amongst other things. This is a view from the Metroplitan line looking across the canal with Croxley Green station in the background:

I've posted this shot now primarily for posterity, and not without a little sadness! After having spent a long time scouring the web for pictures of this part of the Met line I've finally found some that are of use, but unfortunately one of them renders my lovingly crafted marina redundant. This picture was taken looking from the canal looking towards the spot my screenshot was taken from and as you can see I've got it massively wrong!  http://geoff-plumb.fotopic.net/p28930775.html A rebuild is in order.

Another shot which I've just found is this one: http://ronfisher.fotopic.net/p64019965.html I think I'm just going to pretend that I haven't seen it! Ho hum!

Cheers

Thanks Chris. It's all taking far longer than I was anticipating!

John - not much else to report at the minute I'm afraid. I've started dabbling with building some better signs for the route, but I'm at the very, very bottom of the learning curve in this respect! Ahem... 8)

I've also been doing a fair bit of research over the last few days (as per my earlier post). I think I'll go for a halfway house compromise on the marina in due course rather than binning it and starting again.

This is where the branch to Watford leaves the main Metropolitan line, although this area is also in need of more work I realise! I'm not entirely sure whether this is Watford South Junction or Croxleyhall Junction, to be honest:

Here's another fantastic set of Geoff Plumb pictures which have not only helped immensely in resolving some of the questions I've had about this part of the Met, but also provide an obvious scenario opportunity for once the route is finally built. http://geoff-plumb.fotopic.net/c1094493.html

Finally for tonight, I shall commend this site to you. http://croxleywiggenhallroaddepot.website.orange.co.uk/
