Just to clarify though regarding packaging and "protected assets"; of course its never my intention to voluntarily include someone else's work with my package (unless permission was given by them).
There is one scenario with my route for which I was using the "Challenger" engine and tender stock. However from what I understand, looking at the Package Manager list of installed packages, I see that "ChallengerPack" is marked as "protected" anyways, and therefore the RailWorks Packager wouldn't include that, or any protected files for that matter, within any package I try to make right?
I'm trying to keep everything else in my route & scenarios using default-RW-stock only, so I shouldn't have any problems.
I will also probably include a default-RW-assets/stock of the same scenario(s) anyways.
Which BTW way I think I'm doing it correctly for using default-only stuff.. is it the "Kuju" folder that is Default-RW-assets/stock ?
But yes, how would I make sure that I wouldn't accidentally include any other non-default assets?
When I go to the Railworks Packager, and I select my own route to package, it puts a "Content" folder on the right-side. When I expand that folder to see what's in it, I get a list of sub-folders:
Routes, I then expand that and get a list of other sub folder, some I'm not sure which are necessary or not or if its something I don't want to include in the package;
a folder with a long-seemingly-random-alpha-numeric-label, then Mixmaps, Networks, RouteInformation, Scenarios, Terrain, and the RouteProperties.xml
If I look within those other folders I mentioned, I see lots of numbered ".bin" files, which I have no real idea what they are, but I'm assuming its all required info that's related to my routes and scenarios.
I'm assuming the list of all the folders, and files within those folders, are all important / required files and info that RailWorks requires to successfully make a working package of my route & scenarios which I should then be able to share.
After I create my package, I end up with a ".rwp" file created by the RailWorks Packager, which I give a name to, and for now the total file-size is only 1.62 MB. Seems to me that such a fairly smallish file size wouldn't include assets such as the "Challenger" - as its marked as "Protected" anyways. So I'm assuming it doesn't get put into my package anyways, however other people that DO have the Challenger add-on already bought and installed into their rail-works should I think hopefully be able to play my scenario that makes use of the Challenger?
Ahhh, well, sorry if I'm being a pest... I just didn't want to accidentally make some mistakes in wanting to share my free-ware route & scenarios with others though.
Thanks again.
