I don't seem to have a conf file on my system.

All that I did was to place a cube primitive under the loco, stretched to a fairly large size.

Then to create the shiny texture, go to the materials palette and select a suitable colour, in my case gray 15% (Make sure you remove any texture in the primary texture slot)



Press the "material attributes" button. This will bring up the following sceen:-



Set the reflection slider to get the desired shinyness. Press ok,

Then click on the povray button, to create the shiny texture.



Then paint this texture onto your cube.

When rendered you should see the shiny texture.
