It's hooked into the headlights, so it turns on and off with the existing white ones.

If the former...34072 please ;)

Dark.
Thanks Dark. My latest is 34067 Tangmere in 2011 condition (I tried to remove the nameplates as she's been seen running without them but they're part of the model so can't. Instead, I recoloured the gold and sharpened the images a bit:

And my second latest is 21C164 in Southern Grey:

And the fictional Blue 34067 I did a while back, not seen much use though:

I contacted DT a while back, and whoever I spoke to (very kind people at DT) happily told me that they either definatley were, or possibly were, going to repaint and create some of the other class members. I could have a stab at 34072 I guess, I think I can write the numbers on, but the problem is that I can't remove the Airpump from the 34067 model, which is the madel that 34072, a BoB, using 34007 as the West Country could work, it doesn't have an airpump, but I think I need a texture called "Frames", and the WC model only uses a body and body nmc texture. If your happy for me to use the 34067 model with the airpump (as thats the only way I can write a new nameplate and numbers for the smokebox) then I'll sort it out for you. I won't publicly release it, I'll make it just for you. :)

If you could do that for me, i'd be forever grateful! I don;t mind if you use Tangmere as a base, as I could then imagine that 257 Squadron has been allowed back onto the mainline! Only thing is, i'd want to use 92 squadron's tender. Is there a way to use 34081 as the base?

Of not, perfectly happy if you could use tangmere for 257. I'd again be eternally grateful! (Plus, as a bulleid fan, i'd also love to be able to use your other bulleid pacific reskins, the blue is just fab, as is the grey!

Cheers,

Dark.

Will, Darkdj

Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but Bulleid's Battle of Britain and West Country classes were identical in every way (apart from the presence of the Westinghouse pump on Tangmere and nameplates obviously :) ) so with no differences in detail between the two, one model should easily be re-skinable into the other.

Ash
Not at all, thanks for that Ash. :) I know they are the same, but it's the way DT have mapped it all out you see. I'll illiterate. If I were to use the base model, 34007 which is a West Country, as the base of Dark's 34072 request, then I'm only able to paint the body texture. The texture I need to be able to write on the smokebox section where the numbers go, is a texture that is in 34067's folder (Default) and sadly, cannot be mapped to be in 34007's folder, so 34007 reads all the main textures (bar the body_nmc.TgPcDx) from 34067s (Default) folder.

By using the model of 34067, I solve one problem but get another. I am then able to write on the smokebox, to add 34072's number, however, my new problem is that 34067 carries the Air Pump, and unfortinatley, I cannot remove it, whether this be through Xml/Bin editing, or trying to Alpha it out in Photoshop. So I'm stuck inbetween, do I use a model that can have alterations made, but no smokebox door numbers being able to be written (34007) or do I use a model which is factually incorrect to use as a base for 34072 (34067-because it has the Air Pump). That's what I was trying to explain, which is why I would have to use the model of 34067 to create 34072, and not the 34007 base, which I would've prefered, but is not essential, as I can get round it. 8)

Sure thing then. Should be fairly easy, I'll PM you to save space in this topic.

Haha, thanks ash, I knew this already, both classes are identical, but as will says, it's to do with DT's model, there are slight differences between each engine (for example, 92 squadron's lining is matched t the larger tender lining style, tangmere has the air pump etc etc.

They really are the same class of engines.

Will, that's a good idea, I await your PM, and I'd prefer you used Tangmere as a base if 92 squadron is a no go, as id like the name and numbers, not too fussed about the air pumop, for as I say, it could be a fictional addition for mainline running!

Thanks,

Dark.

Very nice work, Darren.

A few more shots of my Ashstone TMD route which I'm working on.

Image
A Class 156 ScotRail DMU sits in Ashstone with a stopping service heading East. In the background is Ashstone town and the Power Station complex.

Image
An EWS Class 67, No. 67011, prepares to head out of Ashstone TMD with Class 67 class-mate No. 67029 in EWS Executive livery and Class 66 No. 66111 Highland 'dead in tow'.

Image
EWS-Class 37 No. 37670 St Blazey T&RS Depot blasts over the summit of Gonsfell on the West of the route, with 37668 also providing much needed aid with the 18 TEA tanks still trailing on the gradient. The train is heading West to the Oil terminal.

Coming soon, with more details and information to be also announced soon.

Comments welcome

Cheers :)

Could this be a whole route starting at york then progressing all the way to the north berwick maybe further :D ?

If so bravo on all your hard work so far and cant wait to see everything Darren

A clean steamer in the 60s? that would be a lucky find!

Oh no joke, she was gleaming. Must've been for a special event/occasion, she was spotless. Need to paint it into BR Black properly, like the forthcoming 56XX.
