Thanks Richard, it's a great loco, just the job for this layout. I'm sure some of your reskinned Class 60's will also feature at some point on this thread...... :D

It would appear to me that this person has simply pasted a repainted set of W&S textures over the top of the GC variant that Oovee included with the buffers, and either renamed it to duplicate, or just pasted the textures over the GC base. Either way, that can't be good news..

If it's for personal use then there is no problem...

I'll quote the reskin policy from Oovee http://www.oovee.co.uk/en/store/rw_policy
Repaint policy
HST Buffer Pack - Repaints disallowed.

Reason: - Due to the complexity of the HST Buffer Pack setup within the Kuju folder and the HST Buffer Pack sold via our previous distributor (eLicense) - we have come to the decision that it would be best to "disallow" repainting or further modification to this product. This is so we can provide clear support to our Steam customers or our previous distribution (eLicense) customers.
Now, that is basically saying that any "Other" versions are not to be distributed because it'll cause problems for official support of the product i.e whatever you do with the product on your own computer is up to you and if it goes wrong then tough! However the disallowing of repainting is a way to stop people redistributing repaints.

There is a similar proviso with some 'Trainz' payware whereby you can do what you want reskin wise for personal use but distribution of work is disallowed.

Yes Andy, I know full well what Oovee say about it and yes, absolutely fine for personal use. However, this scenario required the repaint, therefore its available out there to download. Thats the point I was making.

Whoops! should have removed your part of the quote as it was the "Either way, that can't be good news.." that I was actually replying to.

If it's in the 'wild' so to speak, well I guess it depends on where in the wild it is hosted. Some less than scrupilous sites might not care about it at all, whilst others would no doubt remove it quickly provided a polite email / request for removal was provided. Of course that is in Oovee's domain, so if anyone knows or has seen it then it's up to them to report to Oovee and let Zane deal with the takedown request.

If people download it and something breaks in the meantime, well, that is always a risk and legitimate users can simply remove the last items installed which caused the problems and simply let Steam "fix" their install. :)

It could just be that the end user added the buffers to that particular reskin themselves to make it look more like a DVT? It doesn't have the cut-away section of the reskin; it just looks like the buffers have been bodged-on as it were.
