I've not seen many screenshots of Mike's ROD 2-8-0, so thought I'd post a few taken on the Port Road Route:
Out on the Road and a view into the brilliant custom cab
Another view of the cab
In the Countryside
Awaiting the Road into Dumfries
Many thanks to Mike for generously sharing his loco with us.

Looking good, i too seem to have developed a soft spot for this model of an R.O.D, i think it's the impression of size the model has. Also liked mike's "Austerity", very good pieces of work!
Dark.

Really like this engine and got it a while ago. Ikesmith knows how to model and custom cabs are icing on the cake.

Is there a less shiny reskin around for the 2-8-0?
Model looks great but shiny à la MSTS.

Hiya,
If you know how to reskin a model through PhotoShop CS, then you could alter the shininess to your taste. It's very simple really, the .DDS will have an alpha channel, so in Photoshop, if you go to the window where there are the tabs:
Layers,
Channels etc., then click on the Channels tab and you should see 5 channels: RGB, Red, Green, Blue, Alpha. If you select the Alpha channel, the texture will go black and white. I imagine by the look of it, it has a block white alpha, which makes it shiny, but if you make it black or dark grey by painting over it, then it will look more matte. Save your texture (check what format the original texture is e.g. DXT ARGB, otherwise if you save it as the wrong one it wont work), import it (RSBinTool, RWTools), save and voila, you have a less shiny ROD.
Hope that helps a bit for aspiring reskinners
Chris
