is that referring to the flashing aspect of signals on the ECML that means 140mph running?paulz6 wrote:Thank you for the kind comments regarding the LED signal. I've pleasantly surprised myself!
I guess it's all clear for project green light. Or is it just a flashing idea!
If only they had continued that in practice, could have shaved a nice few minutes between London and Edinburgh.Tankski wrote:is that referring to the flashing aspect of signals on the ECML that means 140mph running?paulz6 wrote:Thank you for the kind comments regarding the LED signal. Slow down Mr Pendalino, you are only cleared to do 125mph!Tankski wrote:is that referring to the flashing aspect of signals on the ECML that means 140mph running?paulz6 wrote:Thank you for the kind comments regarding the LED signal. I've pleasantly surprised myself!

The player train is the HST.

I was hoping it was because I hadn't done to bad a job at the signal glow texturing for a novice. The darkness does help hide the fact that I haven't textured the main signal head yet!MikeTrams wrote:Looks really good!paulz6 wrote:I think the back drop helps, nice sun set...Or sun rise!

do you think you might have a go at the light on a train?paulz6 wrote:I was hoping it was because I hadn't done to bad a job at the signal glow texturing for a novice. The default RW signals have a signal glow texture with the viewer facing property set. I don't know if that can be done in 3D canvas, but the problem with a viewer facing glow is the glow can be seen from behind the signal at distance. I'm considering making the glow a T facing section, but I'm not sure if it is worth it as the glow looks reasonable across quite a wide front angle.
I suppose an elongated X section wouldn't look bad coming out of UK marker lights. I think I've got a lot to learn before I try modelling a class 76!blackthunder36 wrote: do you think you might have a go at the light on a train?
